What are Paint Your Peace Parties?
Paint Your Peace parties are a perfect collision between an art class and a fun party!    I will guide & paint with you step-by-step on how to recreate the featured painting for that session. While you will learn how to create a masterPEACE you’ll be proud of, the focus is on letting go, having fun and enjoying a night out you won’t soon forget. Feeling adventurous!?!  GREAT!  Add your own personal touches to the featured painting or paint something completely different!  Then prepare to step back from your masterPEACE, beaming with pride and say, “I DID THAT!”

How do I host a party?
You can contact us and tell us about your event then we’ll get in contact to go over the process and answer any questions you may have. You can: 1. Decide whether you want to pay for the whole party yourself OR, 2: You can decide to send out an invite email that we send to you to send to your guests that contains a payment link where everyone can pay for themselves! So you don’t have to worry about collecting money from everyone. All payments are based on the “per person” rate either way. Nice & Easy!

We also keep in touch with you periodically before the party to let you know who has signed up and paid so that you are sure of who is attending. 

How do I register for a class if I was invited to a Paint Party?
For private events: Click on the link in your email invite from your party hostess.  You will be able to pay securely via our website. You will receive an email confirmation once you have completed the registration process.  

Is your site secure for online payments?
YES! Our credit card processing and PayPal payment acceptance offers online payment options that are secure, fast, easy and will guarantee that your registration is processed immediately. Your information is safely transmitted and then processed on secure servers maintained by the leading providers of online payment transactions. If you already have a PayPal account, then we have provided another easy way to pay! All payments must be received in advance of the party to reserve your seat. In the event that you have any difficulty paying onlinehrough Paypal, please contact me at 617-462-2426 and we will process your credit card over the phone.

Is there a minumum or maximum number of people for a Paint Party?
Yes, for every paint party there is a minimum of 10 people or a payment equivalent for 10 people. We have done couple’s nights where it is just 2 people for those events. They paid the amount for 10 people and had a GREAT time with just the two of them… and us. 
As far as a maximum, we have done paint parties with over 100 people before! Let’s get in touch about your event!

What is included in the price?
Everything! We provide everything you will need for the class: 11” x 14″ canvas (or depending on what you chose to paint on), paint, brushes, easels, paint palettes, tablecloths, dropcloths (if needed) and aprons. Hostess will need to provide We even clean up after you are done! 

What time do I need to arrive for an event?
Please arrive 15 minutes before painting time.  We do start the class ON TIME. 

How long is a class?
Depending on the painting, most parties run 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Will I really be able to paint this painting in the time allowed? What if I have never painted before?
Yes. Acrylic paint dries quickly so your painting will be dry and ready for transport when you are. No painting experience is needed.  

What should I wear to sessions?
Wear something you feel comfortable in. I supply aprons for protection against the water-based acrylic paint that is used. When the paints dry they will not wash out of fabric easily.  Wear something you don’t mind getting a spot of paint on, just in case.

What is your cancellation policy?

Host/ Hostess: Final payment for private, host/hostess held events are due no less than 2 weeks prior to the party. Cancellation or modifications to the party numbers must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the event for a full refund. Modifications after this date are at the artist’s discretion. Registration charges for sessions not cancelled two weeks in advance will not be refunded, but can be used as a credit towards another party. If one of your attendees does not show up or does not cancel within 48 hours, Kyia will hold onto their credit and it MUST be redeemed within 90 days.

Attendee: You can cancel your individual registration 48 hours before the session for a refund OR you can get a credit towards another paint party from At Peace Arts.  Registration charges for sessions not cancelled 48 hours in advance can be used as a credit towards another class. You may cancel or reschedule by email:, or by phone: 617-462-2426.  If you do not show up or do not cancel within 48 hours, Kyia will hold onto your credit and it MUST be redeemed within 90 days.

Please NOTE: No refunds will be given if your materials have already been shipped (virtual only)

In the event of inclement weather, Kyia will reschedule or give you/ your party a refund or credit.

May I bring a non-painting guest to class to watch me while I paint?
No, sorry. This is a “hands-on” activity.

Other important information:
During the session, we will take photos, including a group photo/ screenshot at the end of the party. These may be used on At Peace Arts’ social media sites. If you do not want your picture taken for these purposes, please let me know.   Your privacy is important to me.  And please take lots of pictures and share them on your social media.  Share them with #atpeacearts so that I can see them too!
